I really need to get one of these things. great photo!!!!
sleep tight 🙂
I’ll put on my ‘Geoff-as-the-oculus-evangelist’ hat … You need one … you know you do! I’d love to see what you could do with in your hands.
Very interesting picture but the note on LOST WORLD puts me to thinking of the book Lost Horizon and I think maybe it is lost or unfindable for a good reason. It is quite possible that we are not ready for it or wouldn’t really be able to handle it in any case.!!??
Oh Marialla … nothing so highbrow … I was thinking Jurassic Park! 🙂
Fantastic-the colors are heavenly.
Elena, thank you. The colour turned out such a swimmingly pale blue … which is what happens when fog is lit with pale blue lights 😉
The image conjures primordial soup where a world is turned upside down and inside out to create anew. Mostly, your magnified worlds are stunning with visual allure and emotional introspective, Sally
Thanks Sally … it was particularly soupy when I took the picture. I like to create small worlds within the sphere that appear as slightly warped facsimiles of our own … thanks again 🙂
Wow, beautiful – I can just spy the tip of the dinosaur tail disappearing into the mist 😉
You’ll likely find the dinosaur is behind you … they’re tricky that way 😉
Just when I was thinking I need to get my oculus out again! I love it. You really DID start somethinbg for me, Geoff! 🙂
You do need to get it out again!
Eine “verlorene Welt” die mystisch wirkt.
Google translate version: A “lost world” which has mystical.
Thanks Claudia … mystical indeed 🙂
i really like these kinds of pics when they’re good. and this one is awesome!
Thank you. I find myself ever-drawn to refraction and the tiny worlds to be found inside. There’s a few oculus pictures throughout this blog 🙂
I love the idea of a world within a world – or maybe just a miniature world captured in a sphere. Gorgeous light coming from inside the sphere. And great colours. I also love the idea of putting the “real” world upside down.
Thanks Penny … I appreciate the kinda speechless but kinda not lost for words approach 😉
